Arm & Hammer Oder Eliminator Just sprinkle it on the carpet & furniture and let it sit there for 15 minutes and then vacuum it up. Your pet oder will be gone. Make sure you leave it sit for 15 minutes and use it 2 or 3 times a week. If you do this it controls the pet oder.
Replaces One Smell With Another The vacuum bag on my Hoover is large and lasts a long time. That's good because the replacement bags are expensive but bad because after a month or so the bag begins to smell which means while vacuuming I endure the stench of the vacuum bag escaping and the sound of Mrs. Spudman complaining about the stinky vacuum cleaner.Rather than do a premature evacuation of the bag I use Arm & Hammer Odor Eliminator as a stopgap measure. I learned quickly that the Odor Eliminator has a very powerful aroma of its own so one should use this product in moderation. Don't shake it over an entire carpet! I use just enough to mask the vacuum cleaner bag smell a remedy that keeps working for quite a few days after.One thing that's nice is that the Arm & Hammer's consistency is not powdery but more of a grainy sandy nature. This is good because a powdery product tends to clog up the vacuum bag necessitating a change.Used in moderation this product will do what you want it to do. Used to excess it will drive you out of the house.
Do not even think about buying this The smell after using this is horrible. I vacuumed multiple times and put a new bag in the vacuum after the initial run but the smell would not go away. It gave me headaches and I had trouble sleeping. After two days I hired a professional carpet cleaner to get rid of it. I can't believe they even make this product.
I love it I really like the generic flowery smell. It states on the packaging EXTRA STRENGTH so that should serve as a warning that the smell which you are paying for is strong but it is not overpowering IMO. I really like this one and will continue to use it. Oh did I mention it is inexpensive and you can forgo buying air freshener if you wish.
Not pet safe not human safe We had to take our cat Kobi to the vet after using Carpet Fresh Carpet Odor Eliminator. It was supposed to be a lightly scented Arm and Hammer baking soda product but there was nothing light or natural about it. The pungent fragrance permeated the whole house and no matter how many times I vacuumed it hung heavy in the air. We finally closed the door in desperation keeping the fan running windows open for two days. The cat began tearing out his fur within an hour of using the productthe vet bill came to $189. Arm & Hammer's reaction Your veterinarian's diagnosis of dermatitis suggests our product was not compatible with your pet's sensitivities.
Works good!! This product IS really strong but only if you use a crazy amount. The first time I used it I put way too much down and I couldn't breathe when I was in that room. Every time after that I used a small amount and its not overpowering. I feel that everything smells really fresh and the carpet looks nice and clean. I love this stuff.
Arm & Hammer Extra Strength Carpet & Room Odor Eliminator30 oz. I like this product. It does what it claims. Some folks think this product is too strong. I don't use much of it just a tad here and there and that does the trick for me. I have pets and they don't leave much odor but every so often I do like to use this product to freshen up the family room. If there are any strange odors it is usually the grand kids that leave stuff around etc. When I use this product I open my windows a bit and let the product stand for 5 to 10 minutes then vacuum. No one our household ever had a problem with the fumes or powdery ingredients. There are some who are very sensitive to odors of various kinds. I always think a little goes far and in this case I find this carpet & fabric odor eliminator works well and I will continue to purchase when needed.
Almost killed dog What a horrible product. Horrible. I applied this to the carpet cracked the windows open a bit and left the house for several hours. Got back and the smell was completely and overwhelmingly strong and nasty. My dog laid down on the carpet for a few minutes got up and walked across the room and collapsed.She was listless vomiting and foaming at the mouth. I took her outside. I have the good fortune to know a good animal healer who helped us. Here it was at 1045 at night and I am calling for help. The healer became violently reactive to the toxins in this stuff. I don't know what would have happened if I didn't have that resource available. I don't think I would have a dog this morning. We ended up at 1130 at night driving to the next town over to check into a hotel for the night. I had to leave my home with windows open to air it out.The box may say it is safe for pets but don't believe it. My dog vomited and foamed at the mouth for several hours. It was frightening to say the least.This morning I bought a new vacuum cleaner and some plain baking soda and cornstarch and will attempt to get this most vile and awful smelling crap out of my environment. Even with the windows open overnight the place still smells terrible.

Great for Multiple Uses We use this to clean almost everything! With two children and a dog we need something that is on the safer side when it comes to cleaning. We used this initially for my first daughter's cloth diapers and then through some experimentation found that it works great for general cleaning when added to laundry floors etc. We have been using this for a couple of years in the Rug Doctor to shampoo our nearly white carpets. It works better than anything else we've ever used.
It is okay I like it for cleaning carpets but that is all. They sent me the stain remover not the all purpose. Also the product was open and taped and the box was wet full of the product. But over all the product was okay.
Love this stuff! This has done amazing work with pet and baby messes. I love the scent and the fact it is made from natural ingredients. I use it to clean surfaces and as a pretreat for laundry items.
PERFECT except for the cost I am allergic to chlorine truly allergic so I love that BacOut as a chlorinefree bleach alternative. I have used BacOut in the past with amazing results. However I am one of the many Americans who is suffering temporary unemployment due to the economy. $40+ for one gallon is so far out of my price range that I have not been able to use this product for a couple of months.
Great for cloth diapering This has been the ONLY product that I've found that gets the leftover stink out of our cloth diapers. A 1/4 cup in the wash is all it takes. We also used it to refill the squirt bottle and keep it on hand in the bathroom to spray the diaper before throwing it in the pail. Also works great to clean up pet messes.
Biokleen is Great for Diapers I have used this product on my daughters diapers for the past year and I believe it does a really good job.
Great for cloth diapers! Biokleen BacOut works really well for our bum genius cloth diapers. I spray this on our diapers after rinsing the solids off and before I place them in the hanging diaper bag/pail. Works awesome on stains and really keeps down the odor.
To cat owners Buy this instead of Poop Off I used to by Poop Off to deal with cat urine odors. Really bad full bladderdump episodes on carpet and bedding.Then for the reasons in my review of Poop Off I stopped buying it.It took a while to find a suitable replacement and BacOut is it.It works on cat urine odors and almost as importantly it smells great.My priorities for this task are simple It has to get the odor out and it has to leave behind a fragrance that is at least tolerable.If it left NO fragrance I would consider it a perfect product. But the smell it does leave is very pleasant.It's hard to say why other than BacOut's lemon limey smell puts a smile on my face while a sniff of Poop Off gives me a headache.See my review of Poop Off for more details.I don't buy BacOut for it's alleged planet friendly greenness.I'm not susceptible to that particular line of propaganda opps I mean marketing.I buy BacOut because it eliminates cat urine odors for me. Cat owners know what I'm talking about. Kind of a combination of burning rubber burning hair and rancid milk. All mixed together!Note I'm specifically talking about the 1 gallon liquid Stain and Odor Eliminator NOT the carpet and rug shampoo.Also I can't really respond to the visual stain removal aspect as my priority is odor elimination and I only use it for that.
Replace Lysol & Febreeze with BacOut in spray bottle works great I stopped using Febreeze years ago and looked up homemade febreeze recipes online.using fabric softener and white vinegarhowever I didn't like the way the homemade stuff worked but once I got Bac Out I put some in a spray bottle and this works great when using it on upholstery the way one would use febreezeit has a very pleasant 'nonchemical' but clean smell and freshens up drapes/carpet/upholstery and any other fabric nicely.I also use it in place of Lysol in the bathroom trash pails etc. again in a spray bottle.It works great as an air freshener too when needed in the bathroom.as opposed to those toxic chemical air fresheners whose residual chemical odor makes me sick!I made some homemade cloth diapers out of our old flannel sheets for my granddaughter and have used this once when laundering as well as in the diaper pail and it worked great.
carpet stain magic! I have used this for cloth diapers for odor control. I recently used it on some blackened stains from rice milk left over time and blueberry stains on our carpet. It lifted them out without a problem! It is a very light beige carpet and I am amazed.

Ok Didn't work as well as I had hoped. It wasn't really a powder but more grainy which caused it to end up all over our wood floor. I was using for an old rug that had that musty smell and it seemed to absorb odor a bit but not as much as I had hoped.
Don't bother with Citrus MagicZERO STARS would be the most accurate rating This doesn't hold a candle to FEBREZE odor eliminator for Fabrics Carpet and Air. Plus you can buy the Febreze product at any grocery store no waiting no hassle.I used to buy many citrus magic items NO MORE there is no comparison FEBREZE is much much better.
Not true to its brand I did not like this product. I find that Glade products work far better. Yes this product is natural but it does not give you a lasting fragrance and is not worth the price. You can buy two bottles of Glade for this price and will be much more happy with your purchase. I love the Citrus Magic solid freshener but I will pass on this room shaker product.
Nice pending your carpet type. I love citrus and thought I'd try this product. It smells great but with my rug in my family room it does not sink inside the rug to make a huge difference. This product needs to be more for rugs that have a little shag to it to get inside. The granules are more granules and not fine powder and sits on top of my rug so it doesn't really work for me. I gave it 4 stars because I would definitely use it for different types of rugs/carpets because it smells really nice. I still use what I purchased as a quick fix and it sits in my vacuum bag when I vacuum and it gives out a faint citrus scent in the vacuum.

really works! This product really works! I heard about it and asked my plumber what he thought. He he told me that gives a free bottle to new clients. I even took one bottle to work.
Poo Pourri is #2 heh heh What is there to say about this product. It works. It is a lovely alternative toum using nothing. My daughter spends time in an out of the hospital and I stay in the same room with her. The space is small and since it is a teaching hospital there are medical personnel in and out of the room at all times of the day and night. Let me just put it out there I am not a fan of public pooping but when you got to go you got to go. This stuff pretty much saves the day the room and the embarrassment. Speaking of embarrassment maybe they should sell it in a holster and I could strap it to my teenage son so that he can have it with him always. His future college roommate would surely thank me.

The blacklight is a neat idea but it doesn't work very well if you have lightcoloured carpets. Ours were tan with some white fibers intertwined in it so the whole carpet glowed. It was hard to tell where the urine spots were.The spray itself is pretty nice. It does a good job of getting rid of the pet stains and doesn't smell as strong as you would expect it to. It's actually kind of pleasant. Overall it's a good product. However we have better luck with using vinegar to clean our carpets. More effective and a lot cheaper.
Worth trying We have two dogs and two cats . . . and years of pee stains in the carpet. Our carpet is beige and the black light works very well I'm surprised to hear others say it doesn't. It has to be pitch black in the house not even the light of a TV or light from another room. I hold up the light and can perfectly see where each stain is eek there are more than I anticipated.It's true that you go through a whole bottle VERY quickly I've been through three in the last few days. Every stain requires a lot of product especially if it's old. It does seem to take away the odor and soem of the visible stain but I think I'd have to use a lot more of it to completely get rid of the problem areas. Bottom line we need new carpets!!!TIP Buy it at Bed Bath and Beyond w/ a 20% off coupon. Refill bottles only cost $7 and change.
Not sure if this works or if my dog is defective This didn't keep my bichon/shihtzu from peeing and pooing in his two favortie areas. Neither did replacing the entire floor so I can't say whether this spray will work for you.
Urine Gone NOT FOR LAMINATE FLOORING! On 9/28/2010 I sprayed Urine Gone on an area in my laminate floored hallway where one of my pups had an accident. I left it to dry for several hours. Later that evening I fell at that spot and broke my tib and fib in my left leg and spent the next 36 days in the hospital and rehab. I am now home in bed for further rehabilitation. I sill cannot put weight on my left leg for another six weeks.Please please pleasewarn against spraying it on laminate flooring. Urine Gone does NOT dryit becomes an oil sheen. The instructions are not clear on this at all.
Great Product But you need ALOT This stuff works great However you really need to soak the area with the product to get the best results. The spray bottle just doesn't do it. I have to pour it onto the stain getting it really wet. I didn't use the black light as I could see where my stain is. I have tried EVERYTHING and this is the only product that makes a dent on the pee stains from our pug.
Really actually removes the stench of cat pee I think cat pee is the most evil substance on this planet. I believe we could crop dust our enemies with it and avoid war completely they'd have to submit! It's awful stuff and if you have dealt with it in your world you know what I mean.Washing sun time perfume even that other stuff that everyone says works because it smells like citrus don't come near Urine Gone.Urine Gone doesn't smell quite as good in fact it smells kind of weird not bad just weird when you spray it on but WHOA. Once it dries fully in a few days the smell is GONE. Like nosetocarpet can't detect it gone. Helps when you use it with the black light to find ALL of the stuff.Use it you'll see.
It Works! I have used lots of other products for my confused cat who enjoys the occasional couchpee I've tried Nature's Miracle Just for Cats and the regular Nature's Miracle this one works best for me! It has a nice smell and really does eliminate urine smell from the couch.
I love it It works great for my dogs urine and poo I don't know what you are talking about. I use this and only this to clean my pet's mess.
Light is great spray is soso The black light is great is revealing spots. The spray leaves a bit to be desired. The spray is supposed to destroy the urine without scrubbing and it doesn't. Any pet owner knows that killing the odor of urine is nearly impossible. The spray does kill about 85% of the odor but leaves enough to where the animal is able to smell it and hit the spot again. This product however is better than anything offered in the store and I recommend it to pet owners.
Didn't work at all Waste of Money!! I used this for a few weeks and did not notice any difference whatsoever in the cat stains/smells. It was totally ineffective I threw remainder out.Lately I've been using Petzyme to clean the stains and it works PERFECTLY no complaints whatsever even removes old stains. Still looking for a product to remove faint urine odor that still remains but have not had one that I am happy with.
